How 2013 Works For Me

It came up with the Facebook's 2013 review button, when I was thinking about the upcoming new year's eve plan. I used to write down anything I can remember throughout the year before starting the new one, the new year.

And this year has been.....beyond anything I have ever imagined.
God's favor. That's the only rational answer, at least, so far.

I spent 2013 new year in Yogyakarta with some close friends and it was pretty cool. Unconventional way to spend the new year eve by just staying in hotel's room (with 8 people inside) and ended up eating nasi goreng at 2 a.m. No way for bullshit contemplation, we didn't even care. That was the time when getting our gadgets charged is way more important than making any new year's resolution. Fcuk that.

That goddamn Nasi Gudeg. NOW I MISS IT SO MUCH (yes, capslock-ed)

I can't remember how many flights I've taken this year, but the most memorable one must be the (business) trip to Aceh. Yes, my first time going to Aceh; tasting the legendary Kopi Aceh and of course, Mie Aceh. I'm now pretty sure that one of the menus served in heaven must be Mie Aceh (and Nasi Padang).

That awesome window's view of Bukit Barisan along the way to Aceh

From the where I worked; somewhere in Peunaga Beach

Krakatoa Trip must be one of the greatest trips of the year. I just realized that I love the sea and the water since then (and many thanks to Marai Adventure, all the best for your coming works, cool guys)

"I can see you from above but I was too afraid."

Bringing an Instax for an outdoor trip was a pretty good idea though

One of the most random trips I've ever done and my most favorite of all times would be...coming back home to West Sumatera! After 10 years, I finally got the chance to go back to where my parents came from. Coming back to the place that I used to spend my holiday time at with my brother when we were younger. I couldn't think of anything else but the sweetest memories there.

Just few minutes before our flight to West Sumatera. Another beautiful-airport-photo-shoot, isn't it?

Contemplation over Lake Maninjau (we literally did it when were 'high')

And you will never know where life's gonna take you.
Never in my wildest dream that I have to leave Indonesia and those beautiful people there this year, of course I had plans in mind but I never thought it would be this fast. So, another farewell (and for the first time, it was me to say the good byes). So long, home!

Do you know why I love waiting at the airport? Gazing at people and wondering where they are going
Doha - just few hours to go to ...

And finally, soon-to-be my second home
Munich, Germany

You will never know, you will never know. Just be ready when the most awesome scenario of life hits you!

Happy New Year from here!

Love,

F.
